Welcome
First of all welcome at our website. This website has been designed to share our travel experiences with our friends, family and just everyone who's interested in Costa Rica. We travelled through Costa Rica in the rainyseason from 11 July until 05 August 2002.
HELP
The website has many hidden features and it would be a pity if you would miss out on one of them so I'll explain them to you.
At the moment you entered the central mainpage from which you can visit all the different pages. You can travel back and forward through the website by using the back and forward buttons of your internet browser.
Click Indra in the hammock and you will be directed to the photo and video section
Click the trafficsign Travelstory and you can read some anecdotes about our 4x4 trip
Click the licenceplate Map & Tour and you will be directed to the map & Tour section
The mainpage plus the three different directionpages contain a different backgroundmusic Wav. file so don't forget to switch on your speakers. The videoclips in de Photo & Video section don't include audio because of the file size in relation to the download performance.
1- Photo & Video section
The moment this page opens you will see two bars with tumbnail size photos. The first bar shows five tumbnail size photos. If you click the tumbnail size photos they will expand to their regular size together with a fitting description of the photo. On the rightside of the photobar you see a vertical sidebar which enables you to scroll through the photopart and watch all of the in total 50 photos.
The second bar shows five frames of videoclips which you can activate by clicking the frame. The videoclips are in Mpeg1 format. Download of the clips will take some time but trust me it's worth waiting for. The clips don't include audio otherwise download would take to long.
2- Travelstory
The travelstory section has no hidden features. Just a report of our fantastic trip and vertical sidebars which enable you to run through the story.
3 - Map & Tour section
The moment this page opens you will see a bar. The bar shows an animation icon with a man reading a map of Costa Rica. If you click the icon you will be directed to a general overview map of Costa Rica. After watching it you can return by clicking the back button of your internet browser. If you scroll down in the Map & Tour section with the vertical sidebar on the right you will see a photo of our 4x4. By clicking the car you will be directed to a map showing our 2.750 kilometres tour through Costa Rica. If you move your mouse accross the map you will notice that the arrow changes into a little hand. If your arrow turns into a hand you found a hotspot. Just click the hotspot and you will be directed to the area I took the exposed photos.
At the lower part of the page you have the possibility to let us know what you think of our website. We would appreciate it if you would leave a message.
